What’s the difference between a business coach and a mentor?
A mentor shares their knowledge, skills, and experience to help someone grow and develop. A coach, on the other hand, provides guidance and support to help clients achieve their goals and reach their full potential. When you hire me as a mentor, it's different from hiring a business coach. While I still work with a coach myself, having a mentor who has been in your shoes and experienced what you're going through is a whole different level of support.

If you love what you do so much, why are you mentoring new stagers instead of running Staged Above full-time?
Great question! I absolutely love this industry and my work! A recent life change required us to move out of state, but after 12 years, I’ve realized that what truly brings me joy is watching new stagers thrive. Mentoring gives me the opportunity to share my passion with those who are in the same place I was when I started—it’s incredibly rewarding! And don’t worry, I’m still a home stager! I’ll continue consulting with other companies and supporting Staged Above in Maryland, even from afar.
I have employees and systems in place, but I’m trying to figure out my next steps. I’m not necessarily a new stager, but I’d love your expertise as a trusted leader in this industry. Can you still mentor me?

Absolutely—yes, yes, and yes! In fact, I’ve worked with experienced stagers like Ann Waters in Naples, who had been in business for over 15 years when we started working together. Even with a company generating over a million dollars a year, she still needed guidance to reach her next set of goals. While I love working with new stagers, I’m more than capable of mentoring those with specific goals, no matter how long they’ve been in the industry!
I’m still very much involved in staging! While I sold Staged Above after 12 amazing years, I’m launching a new staging company in Florida called Casanova Home Staging. Alongside that, I continue to mentor and consult with stagers across the country, helping them grow their businesses. So, I’m not stepping away from staging at all—just expanding my reach!
The Staging Collective is a collaborative platform I co-founded with other industry leaders to provide resources, education, and support for home stagers at every level. We’re dedicated to helping stagers grow their businesses by sharing our expertise, tools, and proven strategies.
